After graduating from university, I eagerly dove into the industry, brimming with excitement. However, as time progressed, I found myself caught in a repetitive routine. The more I climbed the corporate ladder, the further I drifted from the creative essence of design. Despite achieving the status of a Mid-Weight Designer, I soon realized that my current job no longer sparked my creative passions.

Thus, I embarked on a search for a new opportunity. I stumbled upon a Graphic Designer position at a Vehicle Installations Company in Leeds—a promising prospect with enticing perks: a higher salary, my own office, and proximity to one of my favorite cities. Initially, it seemed like a dream come true. While this role offered more design work than my previous one, much of my time was spent alone in a cold, secluded office at the top of the building, often idly passing the hours or watching Dragons Den. I asked myself, “Is this worth it?” the 5am hour commute every morning, to sit on my own all day with nothing to do?

Eventually, it dawned on me that in order to nurture my growth as a designer and satisfy my creative needs, I had to venture out on my own.

After a year in that position, I made the bold decision to leave my full-time job behind and start my own Design journey. Hence the name “Just rune.”
